By submitting this form, the customer agrees to all the terms and conditions outlined below.
- Our team at Rainbow Midwest will always do our best to complete your project on the scheduled day(s). We will contact you if the date needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather, traffic, personal emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.
- If your play system has been stained/sealed/painted with a solid color/tint product in the past, it will not completely wash off during the power washing application. The purpose of washing the play set is to clean the wood surfaces in preparation for new sealant to have a clean surface to which it will adhere. We are unable to wash off all the existing sealant that is on the play set. Doing so would damage the wood.
- If your play set has heavy moss or mold which requires additional power washing, there will be an upcharge for the added labor time needed to correctly complete the job.
- Please remove any bee or bird nests from the play set prior to our arrival.
- If your play system currently has a solid stain/paint/sealant on it, the new sealant we apply will not “hide” that. Quality in the look of the wood will vary and will be visible due to different coats of sealant. At completion, there will also be different depths, since in some areas, the old paint will be under the new sealant, and in other areas it will just be the new sealant on the wood. The previously applied solid-like stain/paint/sealant will unfortunately continue to flake under the new coat that we apply.
- The only way to permanently fix a play system that has had a paint-like product previously applied is to use a stripper solution to remove it. Rainbow Midwest does not offer this service.
- Rainbow Midwest will wash your play system canopy and all plastics, which is included in the Power Wash Package,
- We offer and recommend a variety of water seals depending on the model, year, and current condition of your play set. It is ultimately the customer’s final decision and responsibility to select which of our water sealant products they would like us to apply.
- All wood will react differently to different water sealants with regard to the final dried color and sheen. We use semi-transparent sealants that are created to soak deeper into the wood to protect and last longer. It’s important to note, however, that a finished swing set will not have a completely uniform look like a painted wall. The natural light and dark colors of the wood and the wood grains will be visible after the water seal application is completed.
- Rainbow Midwest does not water seal the underside of play decks or wood roofs, or the interior walls of the lower playhouse. These areas receive little to no sun or rain, therefore the factory sealant typically lasts for the life of the system.
- Rainbow Midwest will seal over the top of bolt heads, bolt caps, and lags. This is in an effort to get the sealant saturated into the wood around and under the hardware. We will wipe the bolts after sealing over them. However, upon close inspection of the bolts, you will see some dried sealant on them.
- Rainbow Midwest will do its absolute best to avoid getting sealant on any of the plastics and other non-wood components. However, small droplets of sealant on non-wood parts can happen and are to be expected in the water seal process.
- Rainbow Midwest's promise to our customers is that we will wash your entire play set, then apply the sealant of your choice in the manner listed in this agreement.
